It is 1:30 AM. At 6PM, I was so tired. I dreaded having to go shopping. I got how and vowed not to take a nap. As the evening wore on, I became more and more awake.
The only thing that makes sense is the blue light from the computer monitor. I have already reduced it's blue light output to 20%. Maybe I need to reduce it to zero. The interface to configure the monitor is hard to figure out. I made the change one day when I had slept really well, and I felt like I could figure anything out. I have tried a few times since then to reduce the blue light, and couldn't figure it out.
I love eating mixed vegetables. It's lots better than salad. Wait, Salad is...

Sleep Journal 1
I am going to use this journal for a while to record my sleep patterns, see if that helps figure out what is happening to me.
Sat nite - Sun morn: started at midnight, finally alseep by 2 AM
awoke by alarm at 9Am, reset alarm to 10 Am, went back to sleep
awoke by alarm at 10 Am, hurried to go to Church
no time to use mood light - requires 45 minutes sitting still
really wanted to go, had missed 3 weeks perivious
when arrived at Church, realized it was mistake - actually stumbling around
Sat in comfortable chairs in foyer, fell alseep constantly during service
went home after first hour, went to sleep again at 1 PM
slept until 6:00 PM
active until midnight, fell asleep at 2 AM
Sun nite-Mon morn: awoke at 7 AM. Did not trust it after experience I had yesterday
used mood lite for an hour while played W101
at 8 Am, decided that I felt good enough to go to work.
arrived at work at 10 AM - earliest I had been to work in a long time
by noon, I was spent. Realized that I had a therapist appt at 3
got home at 12:30, slept until 2:15, awake by alarm
I had eaten my alloted calories already, but was hungry
bought a fast food burger on the way to therapist, no fries, no sauce
Mon nite - Tues Morn
Got back to work by 4:30 PM, worked until 7 PM
I was much more awake this time, and got a lot done
I was exhausted
Got home at 7:30, emptied pockets, off shoes, nap on bed
slept until 9 pM, played W101 until midnight
prepd for bed (meds and all), then surfed web to see pretty meditative fotos
fell asleep at 2 AM, partially awoke at noon, awake but tired
decided to sleep more, slept until 2 PM
woke up without alarm feeling great - wide awake
decided to use mood light anyway for 45 minutes to make sure
I arrived at work at 3:30PM. I stated until 10:30.
I had plenty of energy and stamina, and I was wide awake.
(The reason for this was because I ate a sugary treat)
I felt like I could continue to work for several hours,
but my eyes were starting to burn from sweat,
and I have a mtg at noon the next day.
Tues nite - Wed Morn:
I had hoped to be asleep by midnight.
I watched an episode of Fringe - it was great.
I forgot to fill the pillbox earlier, and there were other things that had to be done so I could go to sleep. I played boggle online, and was surprised at how well my mind was working. Normally, the first game gets an excellnet score, but by the 4th game, the scores were average. My scores kept getting better, so I decided to do something else.I then watched silly videos and picture on stumble upon until I felt tired.
I laid down at 1 AM. I stayed in bed for 2 hours, wide awake. It was not like I was thinking about things, or worrying. As I noticed something uncomfortable in my body, I made changes to accommodate it.
I got up and took another dosage of seroquel, and at a thawed package of mixed vegetables. They tasted great. I did some reading in a pamphlet about doing fasting cleanses for the body. Ha d to stop after 7 pages because I started to forget what I was reading as soon as i finished reading it. So I went to W101 to harvest Black Lotus flowers on the planet of MooShu. I need then to complete the final crafting quest, so I can be awarded the title of GrandMaster Artison.
WED MORN
I finally fell asleep at 4 AM. I awoke to alarm to prepare for a work phone meeting I have at noon. I feel a little rested, but could go back to sleep easily. My plan is to use the light therapy for a full 45 minutes or more, then go to work. I will stay as long as I can, the come home and sleep more.
Meeting was canceled. I changed my mind and laid back down to sleep. Slept to 5:30 PM. It is too late to go to work - I could, but I need to stop this cycle. This last sleep period, I slept with the spinal stimulator still turned on. I usually turn it off because the tingling sensation keeps me awake. I feel awake, a little weary - not sleepy, but no energy. All I have eaten today is a grapefruit and 3 grams of Spirulina. I do not feel hungry now, but I have some craving for sweets. I am going to resist.

Sleep - a possible solution
I got a call from Total Sleep today about my quality of sleep. They asked me if the inside of my nose is raw. It has been for about 2 months. They said, it could be that I am not using enough distilled water each night (set the hydration to a higher level), OR I might be using the wrong kind of mask for my nose. This last tritation test, I did switch masks per sugggestion by the sleep tech.
So, I will be using neosporin inside my nose morn and eve, and will use more distilled water. It is a pain because this new unit needs to be washed every day using non-antibacterial baby soap and a tooth brush.
But if it gives me relief, it is worth it

Exercise and coreespondence to sleep patterns
I have been out on my new trike twice. I didn't go on Monday because I was sick.
The first time was 30 minutes. It was fun, and I didn't want to stop, but my legs were complaining.
I went into the house and took a nap from 6 PM to 7 PM. This was the first Tuna Fish Sleep experiment night.
The second day, I was out for 45 minutes, and had to stop because I was out of breath. Muscles were only complaining a little. Many people spoke to me how nice the bike looked. Wen standing in the parking lot would hold up the cigarette or beer and nod as I passed by. One young lady dressed in East Indian robes really brightened up and exclaimed, I really like your trike. Another young hispanic boy talked to me for a few minutes while I caught my breath about how much he admired the machine. It is beautiful to look at.

Sleep Experiments Continued
Using the Imitation crab as a protein source to create serotonin rarely works.
Using only spirulina as a protein source to create serotonin rarely works.
The combination of these to works more often, but still less than 25%.
Using spirulina and Whey protein rarely works.
In all the tests above, there came a desire for sweets in 30 minutes.
Indulging with honey seemed to increase the chance of sleep,
but it took too much in my opinion.
In all of these tests, I am also taking seroquel and Xanax.
I switched to taking Xanax at night, and it did seem to imporve things.
I have used Tuna Fish (TF) as the source for protein, with Spirulina, for the last 3 nights.
I continued hte use of Xanax and Seroquel
The results have been very good. There is still a desire for sweets, but instead of honey,
I ate more tuna fish, and that seemed to handle it. I fell alseep within the first hour of starting this regimine.
On the first TF night, I slept very soundly for 3 hours. I dreamed for the first time in a long time. Upon waking, I had more TF and Seroquel, and was able to get back to sleep in an hour. and slept deeply and dreamfully 3.5 hours when the alarm went off to get ready for Church (9AM). I tried on this amount of sleep, and it wasn't enough. I was barely able to stay awake. I did not take any more meds/food, and slept again. I woke up at 4PM, seven hours later. This was not a deep sleep.
On the second TF night, I only had TF at the start. , with the same results, 2 sleep periods, very deep with dreams. I believe the waking after 3 to 4 hours is the seroquel running off. I tried going to work at 9 AM, and last 5 hours before I was just too sleepy to continue. Also flu symptoms returned, had diarhea all the rest of the day. So I fast and drank only water. I was supposed to go shopping that night, but didn't. I was upset because I didn't get home fast enough between bouts of diarhea, and soiled my clothes. I did not want to wear diapers, so I didn't go out again.
On the third TF night, I only had 1 can of TF left. This time the first sleep period was 6 hours. I think was due to adding one additional therapy.
Prior to bedtime, I use the computer. Note: I have altered my Display so that is only using 20% of its Blue Light. It comes from the factory configured with 50% for each of Red, Green and Blue. I won't wexplain here why blue light is an issue for sleep quality
I was typically using Stumble Upon for months, until I found a game called W101. A week ago, I used a meditation game called Journey to the Wild Divine for the last waking hour of the day. I was much more relaxed, but I did not fall asleep. The difference today was that I used the Alpha-Stim for the entire evening while I used the computer. I was using W101 for 2 hours. It was an active session, meeting several new people, and battling monsters that were of a classification outside the range of my character. I think this is why I slept for 6 hours instead of just 3, but it could also be because of the accumulation of 3 days of better sleep after so little sleep for so long.
If I had more tuna, I would eat it now. The only protein in the house is eggs and Spirulina. I did experiments with eating eggs at night as the protein source to create serotonin, with no lock. I have taken more seroquel and I hope that is enough. I have been awake for an hour now - it is 7 AM. I hope this new regimine will last more that just a week. In the past, when I find something that works, it only works for 3 to 7 days, then stops.
I was taking more L-Tryptophan to help the creation of Serotonin, and at first this worked when taken with just Spirulina. But the sleep was dreamless. This only worked for 3 days.
In the last 3 days, when I do have a deep sleep with dreams, I wake up with sweaty upper garments. Whatever I have worn from the waste up have to be removed and replaced.
One the second TF day, I had a weird experience on the second awakening of the night. This use to happen a lot when I was younger. I was awake, but I was not able to make my body move. It took great effort just to take off the CPAP mask and sit up on the side of the bed. My muscles would not respond to the requests. Since this has happened to me many times during my life, it did not freak me out. I subscribe it to whatever drugs the body creates to keep us from sleep walking during the night.
This is why I started using the blue light therapy to wake up years ago. It was the only thing I found that was affective against removing those sleep-paralysis drugs out of my system. My hands would start out feeling like I was wearing a tick pair of gloves on, and the fingers would move slowly, and they had no strength. I would drop things often. Once I was able to hold a pen in my hand a write, it was safe to do other things, like crack an egg. If I tried to crack an egg before this time, I would either drop it or smash it to bits with my thumb.
